Unpublishable comment from Mr Karlsson
"Your error is of course in believing that this organisation puts any faith in "la régulation naturelle des marchés par l'offre et la demande". It is yet another instance of wine producers' organisation trying to manipulate the market, illegitimately increase prices for wine consumers and make sure wine drinkers pay more for worse quality wine. And yes, it certainly sounds contrary to the underlying principle of a free market within the EU (just like planting rights by the way).
However, I have a suggestion:
I think you should approach In Vino Veritas (hopefully with the support of CWW, APV and what not) and request that they guarantee you that they buy a minimum number of articles from you over the coming five years, at a pre-defined price.
And while you are discussing with them you could also point out that you should have veto power (as a current writer) on them hiring in any new writers to their publication (just like planting rights give current wine producers a sort of veto power against newcomers).
I will go to my fromager on the corner and request that he promises to deliver to me one crottin de Chavignol each week at a guaranteed price of 2 euros for the coming three years."
